About the Artist
What drives you to make the things you’re selling on Real Mart?
I like trying new things that have a tangible outcome.
What creative project are you currently brainstorming?
I'm working on wedding invitations for my sister-in-law.
Who has been your greatest inspiration(s)—professionally or creatively (or both)?
Too many people have inspired me along the way to list, but I will say that I have learned more about myself and my abilities with each career choice that I've made.
What music do you like to listen to when you’re working?
John Mayer, Dave Mathews Band, U2, Kings of Leon but I'm open to just about anything.
Favorite book(s):
The Other Boleyn Girl (I was addicted to it like a drug), and I really liked the Twilight Series. I've also enjoyed most of the books that the Real Art book club has thrown my way.
Favorite movie(s):
Too many to list but one of my old standbys is Wedding Crashers; it is hilarious!
Favorite video game(s):
Guitar Hero for Wii.
Television show you can’t miss:
The Office and Grey's Anatomy; I also love the Soprano's (I'm watching all of the seasons—better late than never, right?).
If you could only eat one thing for a month, what would it be?
I think I would get sick of just about anything after eating it for a month straight, but I'm a huge fan of Dairy Queen or any kind of ice cream.
Celebrity you’d love to meet (living or dead):
I think that I would probably freak out if I met someone truly famous and not know what to say to them, so I would prefer to admire from a distance.
Favorite destination you’ve traveled to:
Sonoma California—wine country is amazing!
Favorite font:
Who doesn't love Helvetica?

A graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in visual communication design, I began my career in Web and print design and gradually moved into event design, working on all aspects of events from PowerPoint to supporting print materials. Wanting to be less involved in actual design work, I now spend my time learning the production process as a print project manager here at Real Art.
I grew up in Fremont, Ohio, went to the University of Dayton and have been in Dayton ever since. I met my partner in crime and husband Shaun at UD, and we have an 8-month-old baby boy, Carson (no he is not named after Carson Palmer). And we don't have any pets—having a baby is all the work we want right now.
At Real Art, I am a project manager; I spend my days working with the amazing print designers. And when I'm not working or making products for Real Mart, I like to spend time with my little boy and husband, read, run and cook new recipes that aren't that difficult.
