What drives you to make the things you’re selling on Real Mart?
I enjoy spending time in my garage tinkering. I like finding something to make and putting my own take on it. Plus it gives me an excuse to buy new tools when needed.
What creative project are you currently brainstorming?
I am currently working with a co-worker on an idea for an iPhone app. I also have a couple more ideas for Real Mart products, but looking for just the right materials to make them.
What music do you like to listen to when you’re working?
I usually have a variety of music at hand, but while programming heavy rock usually wins out.
Favorite book(s):
The last book I read that wasn't related to something programming was The Driver by Alexander Roy. It is a great read for anyone who has an interest in cars. If your looking for something programming, Clean Code is an excellent book.
Favorite movie(s):
There are many on my list, but I would have to say Transporter or The Run Down would be at the top.
Favorite video game(s):
Halo, Call of Duty, and Uncharted 2

Darren Larson
I was born and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana, I graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Computer Graphics focused in Interactive Media. I started out working for an advertising firm doing page designs and layouts. From there, I decided I wanted to do more programming than design, which lead me to a job building e-learning courses for a government contractor, and ultimately to Real Art.
I share a house in West Carrollton with my girlfriend and our 3 crazy pets. One is a dog that has a natural mohawk and is afraid of strollers. The other two are cats which have a nightly round of slow motion boxing.
At Real Art, my role within the interactive team is a Web Developer. I spend most days working on behind the scenes programming and database designs for websites.
When not at work, I spend some time playing video games to unwind from the day. I also enjoy spending time outside.
